What is a VOC

This VOC assessment process is for verification of operator endorsed unit of competency.

This process does not replace a relevant national competency or provide a statement of attainment to the operator.

The assessment is for verification of operator issued competency in line with the national endorsed unit of competency. This process does not replace a relevant national competency or provide a certificate of competency or a wallet card (ticket) to the operator.

Verification of competency (VOC) can be required by several industry workplaces as determined by the employer in supporting evidence staff have received formal training and been deemed competent to perform duties such as operate equipment.

VOC Description

VOC regimes are to be based around the individual’s role and responsibilities as defined by the sites safety and training management systems and Supervisor requirements.  The VOC outcome is to verify the learner has received formal training and up to date knowledge with equipment.

You will have 60 days from the date of your registration to complete the VOC.

VOC Duration:

This course is self-paced. You will have 60 days from the date of your registration to complete the refresher course.

Delivery Method:

This VOC is an online assessment involving a series of multiple-choice theory questions specifically designed for type of equipment selected.  

This VOC is suitable only for those who have previously completed formal training and obtained a statement of attainment for any of the following units:

  1. RIICRC309E Conduct stabiliser operations
  2. RIICRC309D Conduct stabiliser operations
  3. RIICRC309B Conduct stabiliser operations
  4. RIICRC309A Conduct stabiliser operations
  5. BCCPO3019B Conduct stabiliser operations

That awarded statement of attainment along with outcome of this series of questions is your evidence of VOC completion.

Important Information:

VOC Pre-requirements are listed below, before enrolling into this VOC please have the following ready.

  1. A clear scanned copy of your current driver’s licence (both sides) or you can upload photos from your smart device for identification purposes.
  2. A copy of your current Statement of Attainment, wallet card (ticket), or USI transcript.

If you do not have access to your Statement of Attainment, you can log into your USI student portal and download a VET Transcript-  www.usi.gov.au 
*please note* all USI Transcripts must have a QR verification code. If you provide one without it, this will slow down the process and may result in your Statement of Attainment being issued outside the 1-5 day window.
